Description

Class Experience

Students will learn the benefits of being kind to other people, students will practice being kind by making a card or drawing to give away to someone they love.
I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor/elementary school social worker. I have a Master's Degree in Social Work and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker license, along with a School Social Worker License. I have been teaching children about mental health, mindfulness, coping tools, and emotions for four years. I love helping kids feel empowered to learn ways to manage their emotions!
Learners will need some paper, things to color with, and any additional materials they would like to make a card or picture to give away to someone else.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
I will be sharing google slides through screen share to the class. One of the slides will have an embedded youtube video called, "Color The World with Kindness." Students will not need to use youtube or google slides in this class. The resources are only used as tools to show the class the slides through screen-share.
