Students will learn colors as we read this classic children's book Brown Bear, Brown Bear by Eric Carle. The class will begin by reading the book then discussing the colors in the book. The students will interact with the teacher and show things or pictures that are the same colors that are in the book. The students will then practice coloring the characters of the story with the mini-book.
Learning Goals
Students will practice color names and recognition of the colors. Colors included but not limited to are brown, red, yellow, green, blue, purple, black, orange, gold, white, etc.

Supply List
Students will need crayons or color pencils. Parents can access the resource to obtain the mini-book. The website includes story props in color and in black and white. The parents will need to print out the mini book for the students to color while in class.
