In this weekly ongoing class students will learn new drawing techniques using color pastels and draw various topics.We will draw animals,landscapes,still life’s,abstract art and many other topics!Students will learn how to blend colors and learn the importance of color,texture and shadows to create colorful pastel drawings!We will also learn how to use pastels to layer and how pastels can be used in mixed media artwork.Students will learn how to use shade and light to create dynamic coloful drawings. New techniques are taught in each lesson while students have fun learning about art.

This is a beginner to intermediate pastel drawing class for students who are interested in trying out pastels for the first time and also for students who would like to grow their pastel drawing technique. In this class, students will focus on positive and negative space to bring out a drawing and it’s colors,details, values, and textures.

Each class students will focus on learning a new drawing technique to advance their skills.In addition techniques will change throughout the course and focus on a different subject matter each time, so you can continue to take the class and review techniques with a unique pastel drawing at the conclusion of every class.

September 22nd - Learn to draw a still life

September 29th-Landscape-Trees and River drawing- Learn principles of drawing with pastels 

October 6th - Landscape - Rainbow pastel drawing 
 
October 13th - Still Life - Learn how to draw a rose in pastel

October 20th - Still Life - Learn how to draw a donut with sprinkles in pastel!

October 7th - Draw a realistic cat!

October 14th - Landscape - Learn to draw fall leaves

October 21st - Animals-Draw a colorful owl
