In this one time (thirty minute) class, students will be introduced to the color wheel through a vibrant presentation. They will learn about primary and secondary colors. They will draw and color their own color wheels. They will then learn how to mix the primary colors to get secondary colors through a fun and simple science experiment (shaving cream color bags.) I am a certified early childhood and elementary school teacher. I taught art and science for 5 years.
**If you are missing any of these supplies, your child can still participate in the class! Feel free to send me a message and I will be happy to help you come up with alternative supplies. Shaving cream (you can also use whipped cream or white paint) Paint (red, blue, yellow) (you can also use food coloring) 3 zip lock bags 2 pieces of white paper Paintbrushes and a cup of water to wash them Markers/crayons/colored pencils
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Some students may need help with the experiment from an adult off camera.
