Class Experience
In this fun and interactive read aloud, Pre-K students will sing along as Pete the cat steps in all kinds of things, messing up his favorite white shoes. Students will be introduced to each color and color word and have the opportunity to individually demonstrate that they know each color. Students will work along with the teacher as they color their show handout that matches the colors in the story. Students will learn to identify colors and color words. Students will discuss colors with the teacher and fellow classmates. Students will learn to make predictions about what will happen in the story.
I am a kindergarten classroom teacher, and have also taught young learners online for 3 years. I have a passion for early childhood education, and believe that learning should be fun!
Homework is not required; over additional practice with color words would be helpful for the student.
1 file available upon enrollmentA one-page handout to color during the read aloud.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will have an opportunity to demonstrate that they know each color and recognize the color word by sharing with the teacher and their classmates.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parents are welcome sit with their young learner during this class.
