Welcome to Color Hunt! In this one-time class, learners will strengthen their identification of colors through a fun scavenger hunt and coloring page. The coloring page will be completed throughout the class. One by one, we will review each color and color in the correct area on the page. Learners will then have one minute to find something of that color and bring it back. We will take turns sharing our objects with each other. Completing the coloring page will help learners to identify colors, practice fine motor skills, and follow instructions. The scavenger hunt allows us to interact and share with each other. Learners will practice social skills such as listening, taking turns, and being respectful. We will also discuss how to safely search for objects. Class participation is welcome, but will be managed so everyone has the opportunity to share if they would like. This class will be a safe place to learn and share with each other. No prior color knowledge is needed. Excited to see you soon!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Welcome! My name is Beth Walker. I am a mom to two creative and energetic boys (10 & 14). I have always loved creating art projects for my kids. I'm excited to share my passion for art with your child! I also will provide social clubs, centered around art or video games. They will be a safe place for kids to connect and socialize through a shared interest.
I have always been interested in drawing or making something. I took four years of art classes in high school. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design from the University of Cincinnati. I was also a Graphic Artist for five years at Berry Plastics. After becoming a stay-at-home mom, I still found ways to create art, either through invitation design or children's art projects. Four years ago, when I became an online ESL teacher, I really discovered my love for teaching children. I also earned my TESOL Certificate from the International Open Academy in 2018. As a homeschool teacher, I have taught complete curriculums for second, third, and sixth grades.
I promote student success through a patient and encouraging environment. I adapt my teaching techniques to best fit each student's needs, abilities, or interests. I also believe it is important to have fun while learning. I want my students to enjoy their time in my classroom. It is a safe, inclusive space to learn and share.
Some hobbies I have are puzzles, trivia games, listening to audiobooks, anything Harry Potter, and playing board games. My kids have gotten me into playing Minecraft and Roblox with them too.
