This course will teach students the following postions/moves: right and left shoulder, drop spins, push pin spins, paddle (aka. "row boat") spins, and a traditional concert toss. No prior experience is needed since this is a flexible, workshop-style class. This course will be very reliant on the video aspect of Zoom since students will observe hand placement, flag location, and foot placement via video. (Enabling video is not required, but it is highly recomended due to the workshop structure of this class.)

Students will be able to perform the following positions/moves: right and left shoulder, drop spins, push pin spins, paddle spins (aka. "row boat spins"), and traditional concert tosses.

Parental Guidance
This course requires the use of metal flag poles, which can cause minor injury if not used appropriately.
Supply List
Students will need to have a flag or a broom stick to use. Flags must meet WGI flag requirements: a metal pole that measures one inch in diameter and 5-6 ft. long, two rubber or plastic caps on both ends of the pole, and a fabric flag silk that is securely attached to the pole. (If you are looking to by a flag, I suggest looking at the following websites: www.bandshoppe.com and www.algyteam.com.) If a flag is not available, students can use a household broom that is at least 5 ft. long, but an actual flag is preferred. Students will also need a water bottle, tennis shoes, clothes that they can exercise in, and a large, open space (preferably outside).
