In this one-time course I will help students who are beginning the process of preparing for college. The areas this class will focus on are helping teenagers who have questions regarding financial aid to pay for school, enrolling in courses to meet their program goals and utilizing other resources for success. In a small group setting students will be advised on different aid options available to them and the process involved. Additionally they will be taught tools for how to plan our courses...
Students will gain knowledge on: financial aid options and processes for obtaining aid, how to choose which classes to take, how to best utilize academic resources and the importance of improving time management and goal setting for academic success.
Almost 7 years experience in student advising regarding financial aid and academic requirements for a university.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
