Learn the skills need for college from a Cambridge graduate! As students transition from high school classes to university level classes, there are several key skills they need to develop to succeed and thrive in the independence of their new environment. This class will cover skills necessary for classroom success. In class, we will discuss strategies for studying and notetaking, as well as practice those skills. Additional practice exercises will be provided for students to hone their skills after class. Students will have an opportunity to ask questions and get guided support for their individual goals and plans. This is a self-paced version of my College Prep and Study Skills live class. As a flexible schedule course, this course will offer no live class meetings. Instead, your student will have access to a class recording weekly to watch, as well as additional written documents to augment the recording. We will create a healthy discussion through messages to engage with the contents of the recordings. The student will also have various interactive assignments to check their understanding of the video content, creating a workshop feel during the 4 weeks. What to expect from this class: -strategies for notetaking -activities for practice with instructor feedback -strategic planning skills -knowledge for how to approach the studying process
Learning Goals
