This is an informational workshop for college bound, current and rising 12th graders. Discussions will include what colleges are looking for, sending standardized testing, acing the college interview, practice fitness tests for military academies, questions to ask on final and second look visits to campuses, finalizing college list, revising your resume, asking and reminding teachers for letters of recommendation, how to write college essays, and any questions you need to ask. Students and families will have a forum to ask questions once they are in the midst of the college application process. Discussions will include what colleges are looking for, sending standardized testing, acing the college interview, practice fitness tests for military academies, questions to ask on final and second look visits to campuses, finalizing college list, revising your resume, asking and reminding teachers for letters of recommendation, how to write college essays, and any questions you need to ask.
I hold a degree in Psychology and an MBA. I also hold a 150-hour master teacher certificate for teaching English as a second language courses. Furthermore, I have served as a college counselor for almost 5 years advising students and families on the college acceptance process. Many of these students have been accepted to great institutions such as the U.S Air Force Academy, the Coast Guard Academy, the University of Georgia, University of Virginia, William and Mary, Duke, University of South Carolina, Auburn, Virginia Tech and many more. I have taught middle school, have been an academic administrator in a Pre-K 12 school and was a founding director of a Learning center.
