In this course we will cover a variety of elements necessary for success in the collegiate academic environment. Topics covered include: -Apps for organizing coursework and scheduling -How to find on and off-campus academic resources -How to read and use a syllabus -How to utilize your advisor and school librarian to your advantage -Apps for learning and studying -How to find and use common college websites, such as RateMyProfessor.com -How to create a professional email signature -Basic email etiquette with professors -Quick tips for transitioning to college for students who utilized IEPs/504s in high school This course will be presented as a slides presentation (slides available to learners at learner's request- send me a message) with breaks to walk through selected applications (Google Sheets, Gmail) for demonstration of use as pertaining to the presentation. Students do not need access to these applications for participation in this course but may choose to open them to follow along with the demonstration. Learners are encouraged to ask questions throughout the presentation either vocally or via the chat box. Learners who are entering college within the next year will benefit the most from this course.

Learners will understand how to choose college courses, break down syllabi, create organized systems for managing coursework, and use a wide variety of resources to support their academic success.
