This is an information workshop presented with slides, discussion and a question and answer session. Discussions will include what colleges are looking for, standardized testing, college search, types of colleges, deciding on involvement areas to commit, continue to build resume, think about letter of recommendation writers,and extracurricular camps. Discussion will be about 20 minutes and there will be time for questions and answers allowing for shared learning and questions to be asked to benefit everyone.
Learning Goals
Students and families will be introduced to the college planning process to best navigate the high school years. This is an information workshop is for college bound, current 10th graders. Part of the class will be devising a to do list for each year of high school as well as answering questions.
