This is an information workshop presented with slides, discussion and a question and answer session. Discussions will include what colleges are looking for, standardized testing, college search, types of colleges, deciding on involvement areas to commit, continue to build resume, think about letter of recommendation writers,and extracurricular camps. Students and families will be introduced to the college planning process to best navigate the high school years. This is an information workshop is for college bound, current 10th graders. Part of the class will be devising a to do list for each year of high school as well as answering questions.
I hold a degree in Psychology and an MBA. I also hold a 150-hour master teacher certificate for teaching English as a second language courses. Furthermore, I have served as a college counselor for almost 5 years advising students and families on the college acceptance process. Many of these students have been accepted to great institutions such as the U.S Air Force Academy, the Coast Guard Academy, the University of Georgia, University of Virginia, William and Mary, Duke, University of South Carolina, Auburn, Virginia Tech and many more. I have taught middle school, have been an academic administrator in a Pre-K 12 school and was a founding director of a Learning center
