Most classes meet twice per week, but some meet over a period of weeks.** If writing the college application or scholarship essay is weighing on you, and you don't know how to get started, this class is for you. Their instructor guides them along the process, giving feedback and encouragement along the way. Students will learn how to write a college application or scholarship essay that has a memorable impact on college admissions personnel. Students learn how to illustrate their greatest strengths through an interesting story, and they will finish the week with an essay.
The founder of Lemons-Aid, Mrs. Lemons has a B.A. in English and an M.Ed in Education Administration. She is certified to teach English, has a principal's license, and has many years of experience at every level. She also supervises teachers in their undergraduate and graduate level teacher preparation programs at Colorado Christian University. She is a teacher of teachers. All teachers who teach this class have an appropriate degree, teaching experience, and training, giving your learner a teacher who is a content-area expert who loves kids. Mrs. Lemons is very selective and only hires the very best. They are star teachers!
Students will write a college essay and will need additional time outside of class to do so.
Students should have at least one university or college they want to attend and the writing prompt required for their college application.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
