Description

Class Experience

Family Medicine Physician including Telemedicine
Health and Accountability Researcher
Vice President of the University of the West Indies Medical Alumni Association

These positions have afforded me the opportunity of experiencing COVID-19 through clinical, research, business and social perspectives as I see patients and get first hand insights into various types of research being conducted. I am currently involved in hosting a virtual COVID-19 conference through the UNiversity of the West Indies Medical Alumni Association which will present several COVID-19 research papers worked on thus far.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The content of the class will demonstrate the various ways of treating/managing the virus. It will not contain bias but instead explain how different management techniques help in different ways. It is important to understand that there are several ways of achieving something. My teaching is holistic, scientific and free of political bias. Students are free to ask questions, share an opposing view or say what they like or dislike. My job is to help them understand the medical effects of any approach taken. Open discussion is the key to knowledge and understanding!
The knowledge sources for this class will include:
World Health Organisation
Centres for Disease Control
Medscape
