In this class your child will learn how to: - Communicate with other peers from different backgrounds - Listen to others talk - Ask questions - Use eye-contact - Build friendships The structure of this class is laid back, so it can be helpful for children who want to build their communication skills. The class is a safe space for children to talk! -During the first few minutes of class I will show the students a visual schedule of what we are going to do throughout class and I will introduce them to the Powerpoint we will work with. -We will introduce ourselves with our names, where we live, what we like to do, etc. -I will ask everyone questions based on what they have answered, then I will ask if their peers have questions for them. -We will discuss what type of coffee we are drinking (they do not have to drink coffee for this class though!) -We will play a game such as charades/Pictionary/bingo/trivia.
