In this introductory coding class, students will learn the basics of programming using Scratch Jr. They will begin to understand sequential programming by first programming each other and then by programming a sprite (character in the animation) to move around and follow dance steps. Scratch Jr must be downloaded onto a tablet before class. Please be sure to have given the app all the permissions needed before the class begins (microphone, camera, etc). Students should also have a separate device on which they can view the Zoom meeting.
Learning Goals
Students will learn about the sequential nature of programing. They will learn how to make a program in Scratch.
