Class Experience

In this introductory coding class, students will learn the basics of programming using Scratch Jr. They will begin to understand sequential programming by first programming each other and then by programming a sprite (character in the animation) to move around and follow dance steps.

Scratch Jr must be downloaded onto a tablet before class. Please be sure to have given the app all the permissions needed before the class begins (microphone, camera, etc). Students should also have a separate device on which they can view the Zoom meeting.

Students will learn about the sequential nature of programing. They will learn how to make a program in Scratch.
