Class Experience
Computer science is essential for students to learn at an early age, as it helps in all subject areas. Writing code helps spark creativity and problem solving within your child. Minecraft is a fun and easy way to set the foundation for writing code. We will visit code.org and explore Blockly style coding. This class is taught in English.
Students will learn the very basic coding style known as Blockly. Students will understand the importance of computer science and why it is so valuable to learn at a young age.
Students will need TWO electronic devices, if they want to code with us (one for watching the class and one for coding on their own).
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
