Welcome to our fun-filled beginner JavaScript coding class, where students will unleash their creativity using p5.js! This hands-on course introduces kids to the fundamentals of programming through engaging and interactive themes. Each week, we’ll dive into a new theme and build unique projects that explore core coding concepts like loops, conditionals, variables, and more. Here’s a sneak peek at the exciting themes we’ll cover: 🖌️ Themes We’ll Explore: Shape Adventures: 8th Dec Students will learn to draw and animate basic shapes using p5.js. They’ll create projects like a bouncing ball or a shape-drawing game, gaining confidence in using loops and conditionals. Animal Fun: 15th Dec This theme brings animals to life with code! We’ll design projects featuring dancing cats, flying birds, and other playful animations, focusing on using shapes and simple motion. Simple Games: 22nd Dec We’ll introduce the basics of game design through projects like a click-the-circle game and a number guessing challenge. This theme emphasizes user interaction and event handling. Pixel Playground: 29th Dec Dive into the world of pixel art and create fun, colorful designs! Students will build projects like a pixel art maker and interactive checkerboard, learning about grids, arrays, and color functions. Magic Colors:5th Jan Explore the power of colors in coding! This theme features projects like a rainbow animation and color mixer, teaching students about using color functions and interactivity with mouse and keyboard inputs. Weather Wonders: 12th Jan Discover the elements of nature through code! We’ll animate rain, sunshine, and snowflakes while introducing loops and conditionals for creative animations. Digital Greeting Cards: 19th Jan Students will create personalized greeting cards for holidays or birthdays using drawing tools and animation techniques. It’s a great way to practice text functions and event-driven programming. My First Animation: 26th Jan In this theme, students will learn how to create simple animations like a moving car or a bouncing ball. They’ll explore the draw() function and use variables to control motion. Emoji Faces: 2nd Feb Bring emoji faces to life using simple shapes and animations! We’ll build projects like a smiley face creator, focusing on drawing, conditionals, and mouse interaction. Nature Explorer:9th Feb Students will code nature-themed animations like growing flowers and swimming fish, exploring the use of shapes, colors, and loops in p5.js. Class Structure: Each session starts with a brief introduction to the day’s topic, followed by step-by-step coding exercises. Students will work on their own projects with personalized guidance and support. We’ll wrap up with a showcase of everyone’s creations and a Q&A session for interactive learning. This beginner-level course is designed to spark curiosity and creativity while building a solid foundation in coding. By the end, students will have a collection of fun and unique projects that demonstrate their new skills!
