Description
Class Experience
Computer Programming is a growing field in our world that is constantly changing and advancing in technology. In this club, you will get to experience first hand what it is like to be a Software Engineer. You will have the opportunity to build and program your own animation through various obstacles and challenges presented at every meeting. For this club, enthusiasts will be programming and building code using Blockly. Participants will be using it to learn to program animations, create their projects, and share their creations. Participants will learn that being a Software Engineer starts with understanding algorithms, logic, and procedures while building and programming several simple tasks. With the instructor's guide, participants will learn that they, too, can become better programmers.
Bright & Smart was founded in 2005. We have been teaching and developing our programs for the past 16 years. We create our programs with students' learning experience in mind; we want them to learn to love STEM and develop their higher cognitive skills and natural abilities; we help them see themselves as technology creators.
Participants will be allowed to continue to build and program their programs in between meetings. Before every meeting, participants can present their projects and the improvements they made in the process.
Participants must have an updated computer (laptop, PC, tablet) to run the coding applications to participate and get the best experience from this club.
No assessment will be administered. This club is for participants to challenge themselves to think outside the box and place themselves in engineers' minds.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
