🌟This is a project based class series where students will learn by making games and animations using Python code.
______________________________________________________________________________________
👨‍🚀 Welcome coders!
In this Python course, learners will complete lessons where they will learn the syntax, structure, & procedures for writing programs in Python. The following concepts are included in this level: data types, variables, conditionals, and loops.
Learners will create a game or animation at the end of each lesson to show what the they have learned.

✅ This series is broken into 5 individual lessons.
✅All lessons cover individual concepts and practice.
✅ Lessons are conducted in a platform called Codesters
✅ There are NO live meetings in this class, but the teacher is available to answer questions via the Outschool virtual classroom.
________________________________________________________________________________________
🌟NOTE for students with prior experience:
This class will be very different from any Python class that you have taken before as they are conducted in a learning platform called Codesters. The entire class is conducted in this learning environment.
There are NO live meetings in this class!

🥇 Students will receive a certificate of completion upon successful completion of all lessons with a satisfactory score (provided upon parent's request).
🏆 The 10 level course also prepares students to take the Knowledge Pillars- Python Coding Apprentice (PCA) exam. More information can be provided upon request.

📆 Schedule of lessons available under the syllabus

💻 Class Structure -
Each week, students will watch a short video and they will complete a series of activities and a coding project in a learning platform called Codesters.
The cost of the licensing for the virtual platform is included in the class fee.
The teacher will be available for questions and help any day of the week. All messages will be answered within 24 hours via the Outschool virtual classroom. Messages are forwarded to the email on file in Outschool.

😃 Learner Interaction -
Learners will interact by viewing each other's projects on the Codesters platform and providing feedback within the Outschool comment feature under each week's thread.

📖 Required Experience -
No coding experience is required for students 10 and older. For students younger than 10 years old, I highly recommend taking our Scratch classes before enrolling in this class.

⏰ Time Needed for this Class-
This program works great for Flex because the lessons are loaded into a learning platform. There are 5 total lessons in level 1 with one project due each week. I will release a video each week as well with instructions on completing the lesson. At the end of each lesson, there is a project due. The best way to manage time would be to designate an hour to 90 minutes each week for this class, preferably before Saturday as lessons are due each Sunday.

🏆 Learning Goals -
After taking my ten level course, students will graduate from the Python on Codesters program and will be eligible to take my three week prep course for the PCA (Python Coding Apprentice) certification through Knowledge Pillars. More information will be provided to parents and students upon completion of the ten level course or upon sending us a message.
Learning Goals
Students will learn the basic syntax and structure of Python, including how to write and execute simple Python programs in the Codesters platform.
Students will learn to define and use variables in Python, and understand different data types like integers, strings, and floats, applying them in coding projects.
