Coding Fun With a Botley Robot. Mission 6: Construction Zone!
What's included

Calling all young builders! Before joining this exciting robotics challenge, your child should complete my Coding Fun With a Botley Robot. Mission 1: Let’s get Moving, to understand how Botley moves. This flexible series lets you choose one-time classes that fit your schedule. In this action-packed session, your child will program Botley to clear away blocks and knock down towering structures at the construction site! They’ll strengthen problem-solving, sequencing, and logic skills while bringing their coding commands to life in a hands-on challenge. Botley follows a similar programming style to Beebot, used in many schools, making this a great way to reinforce STEM learning through play. Materials & Setup: • Print the attached PDFs so your child can draw challenges they aren’t coding. • No accessory pack needed, but if using one, set up a 2x3 tile grid before class. I’m happy to adjust timing to suit your family’s needs—just let me know! ***This class will require 2 or more children to run***
Learning Goals
By the end of the session, your child will be able to understand that an algorithm is a set of instructions, program a toy by inputting a sequence of commands/codes, and predict how different sequences lead to different outcomes.
