Coding Club: Turn your Pre-Reader into a Coding Literate using ScrathJr

Each session is full of projects based on Passion, Collaboration with Peers, and a Playful Spirit. It is full of hands-on Memorable, Meaningful, and Motivating activities, specially designed for girls and boys, 5-6 years old.

This club is a discovery class for learners who have used ScratchJr before and are looking to keep learning and creating that platform.

In this live club, each student will:

- Participate in a session with other enthusiasts of his/her age group (5-6) who are coding enthusiasts with ScratchJr, discovering how programming is a part of their everyday lives. 
- Enjoy a personalized project-based discussion and interest-based projects. 
- Learn to design, build, create, and code models that will require a programmer's eye. 
- Collaborate with small groups (6 enthusiasts maximum per session) with one adult certified live instructor.

First Week (Introduction)

- Scratch Jr. Advanced Controls 
- Compounding Commands
- Reason Systematically
- Use Multiple Commands Simultaneously
- Add and Command Multiple Sprites 
- Work Collaboratively 
- Add and Combine Multiple Backgrounds
- Create Your Own Story
 
The 45 minutes meetings are incredibly interactive:
5-minute lecture using videos and slides.
35-minute self-paced creation.
5-minute group discussion of achievements.
