Coding and Robotics
Class experience
Students will learn how to do basic coding using blocks. They will review the online coding environment and playgrounds to be used during this camp. Since there are no student accounts and no installation required for access to vr.vex.com, we will review the steps to save and create programs. Then, they will use Blockly coding to designed programs to manipulate a virtual VEX robot. Each day after a lesson that covers events, loops, or conditions, students will write a simple program that...
During this class, students will do the following. 1. Learn the basic blocks of Blockly programming, 2. Define VEX devices 3. Develop code to move an online robot 4. Short lessons covering events, loops, and conditions for various playgrounds. 5. Use different sensors to manipulate the robot Daily Schedule (Students will code at their own pace.) 20 Minutes Session 1 Introduction, Review of Previous Class The teacher will introduce a new subject Students will code a simple task based on the topic taught The teacher will review individual students' work 5 Minute - BREAK 20 Minutes Session 2 Introduction, Review of Previous Class The teacher will introduce a new subject Students will code a simple task based on the subject taught The teacher will review individual students work 5 Review of STEMWORK for Home Day 1.
