PLEASE NOTE: This club is for users of Procreate, which is an art app for iPad. Students must have Procreate, but they can either use an Apple Pencil, a different stylus, or their finger to draw; whichever they prefer. In this Procreate drawing club, learners can enjoy a collaborative experience where we use our imaginations to create an illustration based on a spooky theme. I will present the general theme each week, but from there, the drawing will be student led with ideas they contribute. I will demonstrate our drawings step by step, but students are welcome to change up their drawings. They can use a different art style, change certain details, or draw something entirely different. Or, they can follow along exactly with me and at the end of class, everyone will be welcome to show their artworks. They can also post them in the classroom so that we can see them better. With parent permission, I will share the artwork on my social media if the student would like me to. While we draw, the learners are encouraged to socialize and make friends. We may also make up a story of sorts about our drawings. If we do, I will type up our short stories and publish them on my website, where I am posting a collection of kid friendly spooky stories for kids! Students who want their name published with any stories we create will be listed as coauthors on my website. Although this is a social, student led club, I will demonstrate and explain many Procreate techniques. I will also answer any questions they may have about digital drawing and help them troubleshoot anything theyāve had difficulty with. We will also explore different art styles such as folk art, pop surrealism, kawaii, and more. Here are the themes for each week: August 26 Zombie Sept 2 Severed Sept 9 Haunted Sept 16 Witch Sept 23 Dia De Los Muertos
