In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Learners will use Scratch (https://scratch.mit.edu/) Coding Communiy for Class. This site is ideal for primary learners (5+), giving them the foundation to build on to more advanced lessons for ages 7+. This introductory course is designed for children aged 7-12 who are beginning to program with Scratch. The course comprises a series of six lessons with the final two lessons devoted to completing a Scratch project to become part of the class showcase. Each lesson consists of a ten minute tutorial session that introduces aspects of Scratch programming and will be delivered by by teacher demonstration and /or video . Students then spend ten minutes exploring the tutorial themes before working on their own projects and ideas.
