In this course, learners will learn about storytelling and animation while coding a story each week in Scratch. Participants will write and code a story with a setting, dialogue, and characters. At the beginning of class learners will be introduced to the theme for the week and will get story starters that will spark their imagination. Learners will need to be logged in to Scratch prior to the start of class. Prior to class, parents must create an account for students at http://scratch.mit.edu/join. Learners must have a supported browser. SUPPORTED BROWSERS: The online version of Scratch should run on most browsers and operating systems. That being said, the Scratch Team only maintains Scratch to ensure that it runs well on the following browsers: Desktop -Chrome (63+) -Edge (15+) -Firefox (57+) -Safari (11+) -Internet Explorer is NOT supported.
