Class Experience

Beginner Level
Students will learn to code in Scratch using the programming language's visual learning approach to coding games and cartoon animations. I will be guiding students and teaching them to code using Scratch in a block-based visual programming environment. We will code together step-by-step and learn hands-on how to create games and cartoon animations. Students will use Scratch to explore and apply key computer programming concepts, including event-driven programming, sequence, loops, parallelism, and conditionals.

I apply an activity and/or project based teaching style because I think completing assignments and projects is the most fun way to learn. It also gives students a sense of accomplishment. Students will create an online project, which they can continue to work on, make changes and improve.
