Code & Create 3D Worlds for VR/AR, Animation, and Game Design!

In this online coding class for kids, we'll be creating 3D environments and building 3D objects, learning coding to animate characters and create games and experiences on your device, mobile phone, or VR headset.

Students can move through at their own pace, using resources and worksheets, and there will be group collaboration on projects which students can share with friends & family.  Slides and videos are sometimes used to support learning, but the focus is on learning through doing.

This is a creative coding course which gives students room to play and aims to build their digital fluency, intuition, and skills.

Week 1: Introductions, Play, Setup, and Create 
Week 2: Make a Rollercoaster! (and build your coding skills)
Week 3: Creating & using 3D models - manipulation and materials
Week 4: Harness the power of Physics to make a Rube Goldberg machine 
Week 5: Animation - controlling the camera with code
Week 6: Game Design - collision and nested events
