Class Experience

In this class, students will learn how to make a homemade Coconut Cloud Cake, coconut filling, and homemade 7-Minute frosting. Students will begin this class by learning proper kitchen safety measures. Students will first learn how to make the Coconut Cloud Cake batter, and then they will learn how to make 7-Minute frosting. Finally, students will learn how to properly bake the Coconut Cloud cake, how to make a simple coconut filling, and 7-Minute frosting for the cake.
I'm a highly-skilled home cook. I've been cooking for over 35 years. I began learning how to cook at an early age with my mother, grandmother, and aunts. I've made homemade Coconut Cloud Cake many times, and can teach your learner how to do so safely.

I have 14 years of experience teaching teenagers, as I am a former teacher of both Spanish I and English. As such, I am experienced at guiding teenage students through lessons.
Homework for this class will be for students to clean up their workspace, and take a photo of their completed Coconut Cloud Cake and e-mail the photo to my Outschool e-mail account. Students will also need to submit a short, two to three paragraph report on what they learned from my Coconut Cloud Cake class.
