Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Although a veterinarian by training and professional practice, I have spent the last few years at home providing coaching support for my own three children, all of whom have been diagnosed with ADHD. Because of this experience, I completed the coursework for my ADHD Coaching Certification. I have witnessed firsthand the impact that coaching has had on my children’s sense of wellbeing and overall success in school, sports, and social situations. In addition to being an ADHD, Aspergers, and Executive Functions Coach (self-employed), I designed workshops and training to meet the needs of diverse learning styles and abilities and presented these to hockey associations as well as to educators and teaching assistants in the English and French school systems. I was recently hired in October 2021 as the online ADHD Instructor on the Faculty of Continuing Education at Ashton College.

In my personal and professional experience, I have discovered that I am a creative and out-of-the-box thinker that fuses scientific logic with empathy and compassion. I am an avid learner and intuitive listener with a lifelong passion for sharing my insights. I embrace the belief that there are multiple solutions to every challenge and that each person’s ADHD is unique, requiring a multi-modal, strength-based approach.
