In this one-time class, students will receive assistance with planning, drafting, and/or revising an AP Lang essay. In order to get the most out of the session, it would be helpful if the learner or parent could provide the prompt or draft of the essay in advance; however, this is not required. Each session will be customized to the student's needs. For example, if the student needs help planning an essay, we will work on an outline so that the student can write the essay after the session. If the student needs help improving the quality of the essay, we will focus on potential areas of struggle, such as constructing a defensible thesis, including evidence and commentary, or polishing the writing style. Please note that attending a tutoring session does not guarantee that a learner will earn a certain grade on the essay or that the student will receive a particular score on the AP exam. Students may share their essay through the Outschool platform or screen-share the essay during the session.
