Club TikTok at Northwest Theatre Lab provides a fun and interactive environment for young TikToker's to learn how to create and develop their content for TikTok. Learners can expect to improve their acting, lip-syncing, singing, dancing, and editing techniques for their next TikTok. Students will improve their acting, vocal ability, dance, and editing skills. They will learn how to be a safely use a social media app, learn more about building a positive online presence, gain confidence, and improve their communication skills.
Northwest Theatre Lab's Mr. Nick has more than 15-years of experience as a trained singer, dancer and actor. In addition to his theatrical training, he also has a Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Graphic Design, and Digital Marketing, with a love for creating social media content and is an advocate for online safety. Mr. Nick has teaching experience in after school programs, theatre schools, public schools, conservatories, and regional theatre programs.
Class members can expect to spend time outside of class practicing skills, rehearsing for TikTok recordings, updating their profile on the app, and preparing materials needed for their next TikTok.
Please bring a water bottle and a second device (phone or tablet) for using the TikTok app. Make sure you have an active TikTok account and username. Any printable materials are provided by Northwest Theatre and will be available in the online classroom 24-hours before class begins.
A written assessment is available upon request.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
All students MUST have an active TikTok account and a second device, such as a phone or tablet to participate effectively in class. TikTok has an age requirement of 13 for all acount holders for safety. Students taking this course who are under the age of 13 will need to use an account set up by their parent and provides parents a method of monitoring their learner when using the TikTok app. All TikToker's will need to provide their TikTok account username to their instructor via Outschool email on the first day of class. These are needed in order to share students completed TikTok within the Outschool classroom. Students will need to have plenty of space to be standing and moving during this class. Please make sure students are wearing comfortable clothing and shoes. Students will need a water bottle nearby for staying hydrated.
