Hello! My name is Brandi Guzman. I have a BA in Spanish with P-12 teacher certification. I have been teaching Spanish for 12 years. I have taught ages 7 up to high school. I enjoy teaching students of all ages. I have also traveled extensively. This has given me an interesting perspective on what it means to know a second language. I am not a native Spanish speaker. I had to learn, and continue to practice to become proficient in Spanish. I understand the challenges that come with learning a second language. My goal is to inspire students to learn about different cultures, travel, and put into practice what they are learning.
There will be a short homework assignment each day, leading up to a project to be presented on the last day of the camp. Homework should not take more than 15 minutes to complete. The project should not take more than 30 minutes to complete.
The following items are optional but might be useful in class: Note cards Notebook paper pen/pencil
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Progress will be assessed informally during the final project presentation.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
