Hello! My name is Brandi Guzman. I have a BA in Spanish with P-12 teacher certification. I have been teaching Spanish for 12 years. I have taught ages 7 up to high school. I enjoy teaching students of all ages. I have also traveled extensively. This has given me an interesting perspective on what it means to know a second language. I am not a native Spanish speaker. I had to learn, and continue to practice to become proficient in Spanish. I understand the challenges that come with learning a second language. My goal is to inspire students to learn about different cultures, travel, and put into practice what they are learning.
There will be homework assigned every day. These assignments are short, and should not take more than 15 to 20 minutes to complete.
Students may wish to take notes or flashcards for the vocabulary. The following items would be useful but are not required. Notebook (optional) Pen / pencil (optional) note cards (optional)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
There will be a challenge on the last day of camp to assess what the students have learned.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
