Do you love building and creating and demolishing (oh, my!) in Minecraft, but not so much killing and fighting and defending? Me, too. Let's get together for a few minutes every week, show off our latest creations, bounce ideas off one another, and start work on our next creations. As we do this, we'll chat in builder-ese and just enjoy our mutual hobby. Each week, I'll give students a different prompt to create for the next week. The following is a partial list of what will need to be completed BEFORE that day's class: 11/16 - castle 11/23 - roller coaster 11/30 - volcano 12/7 - labyrinth Come, join, build, rinse, repeat.

Minecraft and a dimly lit room (or ability to turn off lights), because when sharing from a game console (if that's how they choose to play) the glare can impede our ability to see.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I taught English in the public high school system before becoming a mom. Now, I'm part of an unschooling, exchange student-hosting, always learning family.
My 13-year-old, 2e son helps me decide which subjects to teach. His great love is Greek mythology, but he also wants to be a veterinarian, voice actor, and archery instructor, so who knows what we'll be learning about next!
