In this 8-week course we will focus on building foundational leadership skills in Vision, Strategy, Communication and Empathy that will help learners develop into confident, effective leaders.
Class experience
This 8-week leadership skill course is part of a series of classes designed to help 10 to 13-year-old students enhance their ability to lead and communicate effectively. Each topic in the course will be focused on for 2 weeks to allow for deep learning and skill development. By the end of the course, students should have developed a strong understanding of leadership skills and be able to apply them in their daily lives. They should have a clear vision for their future, be able to set goals and create a plan to achieve them, communicate effectively with others, demonstrate empathy and understanding, and manage conflicts and build relationships based on trust and respect. These skills will be essential for their personal and academic growth, and will also prepare them for future leadership roles.
Stella trained as a leadership coach for children in 2016. Since then she has been running popular in person leadership courses both within schools and extra curricular settings in the London area. Stella has developed her own course materials for this online series of courses based around her expertise in supporting young leaders.
Learners will need a note book or journal to keep a record of leadership qualities. Printable journalling pages will be provided if students prefer to use a ring binder.
