Class Experience

In this 40 minute class, students will learn all about colors while creating a beautiful wax-resist watercolor of a cloudy day in the city.  We will discuss color theory.  We will talk about primary colors, secondary colors, and complimentary colors.   We will discuss why we would want to use complimentary colors and how these colors create contrast.  Students will be shown a demonstration of how these colors work together.

I have been an art educator for over 20 years.  I earned my bachelor’s degree in Art Education (K-12) from the University of Central Oklahoma.  I have taught in public schools, private schools, as well as homeschool co-op groups and private lessons.  I have been teaching art on Outschool since August 2021.

Paint brushes (small fine tip & large flat brush are preferred)
