Description
Class Experience
The class objectives (outside of an enjoyable experience and a pretty painting) are to learn a warm up technique that can be used for any artistic project, and to learn some basic sketching and watercolor methods to be used in painting clouds.
- A few sheets of watercolor paper, at least 5”x7” in size, though larger is fine. - Large round watercolor brush size 8 or as near as possible - Small round watercolor brush size 2 or as near as possible - Water cup - Several paper towels for wiping brushes and pulling color off the page - Three shades of blue watercolor paint (I will be using Indigo blue, Ultramarine blue, and Cerulean blue, but any very dark blue, a medium but bright blue, and a sky blue shade would be fine.) - Any shade of green watercolor paint that makes you happy - White watercolor paint or gouache - A grey shade of watercolor paint. I will be using the color called Neutral Tint - Pencil - Eraser - Sketching Paper for our warm up (any scrap paper is fine for this, though I will be using my sketchbook.)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
