Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 2
Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this one-time class, "Telling the Time", I will teach learners how to tell the time using fun and cute pictures. They will be able to read an analog clock and a digital clock. I will add some "trick time" for learners to explore in this class. This is another version of "Clock, Clock, I know How to Read the Clock". I recommend you take the prior class first; however, you do not have to if you think you are ready for this one. Learners will also learn to compare different time in hours, minutes, and seconds. We will learn some math and time together.
In this class, we will focus on more using the word "to" and "past" when reading the clock. I will explain the math secrets inside the clock step by step.

Hello Outschool learners, learning does not have to be hard, and you don’t have to learn one thing at a time. In my class, you can learn two things all together in an easy and efficient way, Chinese (Mandarin) and math altogether. We can kill two birds with one stone! I am bilingual in English and Chinese.
I have lived and studied in China for more than 18 years. After that I moved to US, and I graduated from University of Washington in 2006 with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration. Even though my major was in Accounting and Finance, I loved to teach whenever I had my spare time. When I was at college, I was a math tutor, and I also worked as a lab assistant in the UW language learning center for helping foreign students to learn English and Chinese.
I have been teaching on Outschool for over two years. I really enjoy teaching in this platform. I have tutoring experience with young learners, and I can also teach teenagers and pre-college students for math. After I graduated, I worked as a financial accountant in a non-for-profit organization for 5 years, and another three years with a private company. I am really good at math and Chinese. Do you want to join me? I love to teach. Let us have some fun and learn together. I am looking forward to seeing you in my classes soon!
