Description

Class Experience

Students will learn how clay can be used as a sculpting material.
In the process, they will gain the patience that comes with beginning a new skill.
They will enhance their creativity, motor skills, and focus.
Curing your sculpture will be done outside of class.
*Non-stick work surface (wax or parchment paper works great, aluminum foil can be used instead) *Tools: household items or modeling tools of similar shape: *toothpick, *chopstick, *plastic butter knife (or cutting tool of any shape) *Damp cloth/ paper towel or baby wipes to clean hands between colors *Polymer clay - you can use any brand or even air dry clay - colors: can vary based on what color you want your unicorn to be. The colors used in the example are pink, green, yellow, and black. *Aluminum foil or oven-safe glass/ metal surface for baking after class *optional: eye pin if you want to use this as a charm
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
If the brand of clay you use requires baking, make sure you safely follow the instructions on your packaging. No sharp tools please, plastic or wood are sufficient for cutting clay.
