In this class, students will learn to craft their own pots to hold pencils, pens or markers or whatever they desire. We will be using a variety of techniques including coils of many sizes, crafting hearts, and tear drops. Learners will be guided step by step on molding their own pots using various colors. Learners will need to use modeling clay. Play doh and Crayola Model Magic clay are too soft to hold the builds together. Learners will also need either a crafting knife or a regular plastic knife will work as well!

Learners will be able to learn how to make their own clay projects and use their creativity in form and color.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I come from a family of educators. In my professional career I am always helping and eventually training others so it must be in my blood. I am looking forward to being able to share some of my interest with Learners. We will explore topics from Lego work where we will talk about female architects all the way to getting our hands dirty working with clay! I have a degree in Political Science with a minor in the Arts so my classes will not be lecture style but hands on while speaking about but fun facts where students will learn while crafting. I have many years of experience working with youth of many ages. I hope to be able to foster the love of learning using this platform. My classes will be full of participation so everyone has a chance to talk, ask questions, and share ideas!
