Class Experience

In this one time class, we will use clay to create our own jar/container with a dragon friend! 

We will make our creation step-by-step. No one will be rushed or left behind.

In my classes, I tell students that my creation is just an example of what they can make - they are encouraged to use their imaginations and creativity! They can make any changes or substitutions they want.

- Small Jar or Container ***
- Aluminum foil
- Scissors (with parent permission)
- Pencil or Clay Tools

Optional Supplies:
- Clay Tools
- Clay Glaze or Mod-Podge (to be applied outside of class once your creation has been baked or dried) 

* Any type of clay can be used in this class (air dry, Play-Doh, model magic, polymer) - for the best results I recommend a polymer clay.

** If you are using a polymer clay, you will need to warm it up before class starts - move it around and play with it in your hands. Some polymer clay can be very hard before it is used!

*** Students will need a jar or small container (glass yogurt jar, mini mason jar, small candle jar, etc). If you are using a polymer or other type of ‘bake’ clay, you MUST use a glass container - plastic will melt when placed in the oven.
