US Grade Kindergarten - 3
Beginner Level
In this one time class, we will be making a mosaic from air dry clay, using a variety of materials, such as: beads, tiles, beached glass, and or other embellishments your child would like to incorporate. Mosaic making is a considered a traditional craft, and your child will have the opportunity to explore this tradition of creating art as well as developing their creativity by the use of design and material. Your child will be able to complete their own clay-based mosaic in class. Supplies and materials are simple: air dry clay, liquid glue, ruler, pointy instrument ( such as wood skewer or ceramic tool) and slip ( mixture of water & clay- more water than clay) and your choice - or combination- of beads, tiles ( ceramic or plastic based), weathered beached glass, shells or any other type of embellishments your child would like to include.
