Class Experience

Unleash your creativity in this engaging hands-on Clay and Crafting class! Students will explore the art of shaping, molding, and designing unique projects using clay and a variety of exciting crafting materials. In addition to creating their masterpieces, students will focus on building their communication skills by learning to describe their creations clearly and effectively. We'll emphasize correct English sentence structure, encouraging students to express their ideas thoughtfully while showcasing their artistic work. This class is a perfect blend of artistic expression and language development, inspiring confidence and creativity in every student.

Weekly Projects:

Week 1: Friendly Forest Animals – Sculpt a charming fox or bunny, focusing on basic shapes and texture techniques.

Week 2: Miniature Food Fun – Craft tiny burgers, donuts, or cupcakes that look good enough to eat!

Week 3: Mythical Creatures – Bring magic to life by creating a mini dragon or unicorn with intricate details.

Week 4: Tiny Plant Pots – Make cute mini planters shaped like animals or faces, perfect for small succulents.

Week 5: Personalized Figurines – Design a unique figure based on yourself or your favorite character!

Through a combination of live demonstrations and individual feedback, students will develop their artistic style while learning to work with clay like a pro. Supplies needed include air-dry or polymer clay in assorted colors, basic sculpting tools, and optional paints or gloss for finishing touches.

Learning Goals
