Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 5
This is the second part to Classical Music and Art (learners should complete Part 1 first)

In this class we will take a more in depth look at some of the compositions by famous Classical musicians. Each week we will listen to a different Musician and have discussions about what their compositions make us think about. We then find out where the inspiration for the song came from - based on where the Musician was at that time in their life.
Learners will continue to draw/paint during the compositions, but we will spend more time going over the "Why" we arrive at our interpretations, and making connections.

As in part 1, learners are encouraged to be creative, share their thoughts and engage in discussion with the others learners in the group.

This class is aimed at ages 8-11.

Meeting 1 - Week of June 5 - Mozart
Meeting 2 - Week of June 12 - Joseph Haydn
Meeting 3 - Week of June 19 - Johann Sebastian Bach
Meeting 4 - Week of June 26 - Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky
