US Grade 2 - 5
In this 8-week course, learners can delve into Ancient Greece and explore mythology, ancient wonders of the world, cities such as Sparta, Athens and Delphi and famous figures such as Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Homer, Herodotus, Hippocrates and Alexander the Great. It is my wish that all children have the opportunity to be exposed to these classical civilisation topics, which have long been a cornerstone of classical education in the UK and overseas. Classes will be interactive and there will be comprehension questions, interactive discussions, games such as Heads Up and crossword puzzles and lots of time for drawing and artwork. Each class will include a shared slideshow followed by discussion and question time and ending with game and drawing time. Learners do not need to bring any materials to class except for a piece of paper and some colour pens! A very friendly and accessible course for all children - no prior experience is needed, all are welcome.
