In this ongoing beginner cake decorating course, we’ll cover one piped decorating element or flower each week. This way learners will have plenty of time to master each element before moving on to the next one.

Class experience

By the end of the ongoing course learners will have learned 23 different cake decorating elements, leaves and flowers.
Homework Offered
Learners will need to make some type of decorator’s frosting for each class and prepare their pastry bags with it before class starts. I'll be jumping right into the content when the class starts. Learners will need to practice all elements, leaves and flowers between classes in order to master them. Like anything they do take practice to master.

A couple of "drop flower" tips like "Russian" tips etc.
Several rings and couplers for the bags are great so if they want to change tips they can.
Reusable bags are really the better option for cake decorating since the disposable ones tend to burst.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Parents, your learner may need help operating the electric mixer.

Profile
Nothing more rewarding, as an educator, than to see faces light up with joy after accomplishing something they thought was much too difficult to accomplish!

Sometimes, a learner needs to be gently nudged beyond what they think they can do. Tears...
