This class mini is meant to serve as a trial lesson for families interested in enrolling their children in ongoing private lessons. Please be advised that the suggested age ranges for each choice of instrument are as follows... -Piano & Keyboard Lessons: Ages 5-18 -Singing & Voice Lessons: Ages 6-18 -Recorder Lessons: Ages 7-18 -Flute Lessons: Ages 9-18 -Clarinet Lessons: Ages 9-18 *Note on Instrument Age Ranges: Typically, these age ranges are where I often see the most success with the...
Miss Suzanne is a certified K-12 music teacher with ten years of experience teaching music in public schools and as a private lesson instructor. She pursued a double-major in flute and voice from Kean University and has experience teaching public school choral and instrumental ensembles.
Please make sure your child has access to a quality instrument if choosing recorder, flute, clarinet or piano lessons! All 1:1 music students are highly encouraged to obtain a good quality microphone for private lessons. Message me if you need more information about obtaining an instrument or microphone! *Notes: -Students receiving a trial lesson on recorder should be using a soprano recorder with the baroque fingering system (please message me with a photo of your child's recorder if you need help assessing this!) -Students receiving a trial lesson on the clarinet will need size 2.5 reeds and cork grease in addition to their instrument. After the trial lesson, I will send a list of suggested books and supplies to obtain for future 1:1 lessons.
