Class Mini: Become a Better Writer - Better Story Beginnings

Let's become BETTER writers!  
In this one-time class, we will look at what makes a narrative story and how to create an entertaining and captivating story beginning. 

Learners will learn what narrative stories include and what boring and entertaining beginnings look like. They will create or choose from a list of characters, settings, and problems to create a boring story beginning. Then, they will transform their boring beginning into an entertaining one using the strategies taught in the lesson. We will share our new story beginnings with the class and see how each learner became a better writer!

I am a K-12 certified ELA teacher who has taught these lessons in the classroom for several years as well as on Outschool as part of my narrative writing classes and have seen amazing beginnings created. Now it's time to see your learner become a better writer!
